Akilah Abrams has been turning heads both figuratively and literally from the time she set foot behind the chair. Upon finishing cosmetology school she began serving as an apprentice to the amazing Hadiya Barbel. There, she was exposed to hair utopia. Seeing the array of techniques demonstrated, from extensions to cut, color and everything in between birthed Akilah's vision of making a mark in the beauty industry that could never be erased. This vision caused a determination to cultivate her gift by studying under the best artist she could find. Her training includes ABC Haircutting and from the Vidal Sassoon Academy. With this, she has created her own mashup cutting technique by combining the Art of French Haircutting. She also is a certified Master Barber and expert hair colorist. She is skilled in both relaxed and natural hair as well every other texture and type in between.
